Magnolia M. Bradford Memorial Scholarship

On January 1st, 2018, Sweet Magnolia was published as an e-book as well as a paperback. But since then, the memoir has become so much more. The proceeds from Sweet Magnolia will fund a scholarship in memory of Magnolia M. Bradford, a devoted wife and mother who put any dreams of higher education on hold for the sake of her family.

Magnolia M. Bradford, known to many as “Maggie”, and described in the memoir as Sweet Magnolia valued education and passed this love for learning down to her children. She took steps to insure they were prepared to study beyond high school. Once her children were well on their way to earning degrees, she took classes at a local college while working full time. Unfortunately, she could not continue due to medical reasons.

The memorial scholarship will assist nontraditional students who are juggling the demands of family and work while pursuing their education. Application guidelines and additional scholarship details will be provided at a later date.
